The CSUF Speech and Debate team, with more than four decades of success, is a leading driver of free speech and has been a vehicle to propel many undergraduates to greatness.
Students involved in speech and debate, also known as forensics, participate in intellectual competition in both individual events and debate while also enhancing critical research and communication skills. Beyond these skills, students learn about the importance of teamwork, responsibility and leadership. Without a doubt, forensics is one of the most empowering activities students can participate in.
Funding for scholarships allow us to support our students as they compete at tournaments against schools like Harvard, Berkeley and USC.
