The ASI Food Pantry is a program that serves to distribute food to students in need and is ASI’s contribution to the CSUF campus-wide efforts around food insecurity.
The mobile distribution portion of the our food pantry program began as a quarterly event in the Fall 2018 semester. In the following year, ASI increased its frequency to monthly to serve more students. The food includes a variety of non-perishable foods across breakfast, lunch and dinner meals. As a response to COVID-19 and the needs of our students, ASI continues to provide this program through a no-contract, drive through mobile distribution.
Studies conducted with California State University found that food pantries continually serve as vital resources for our students, especially the food insecure and homeless populations. Your donation ensures that we can continue this mission and add value to Titan experiences.
When you make a gift to support the ASI Food Pantry, you are directly giving to a CSUF student and meeting their immediate need of food security. Food, along with other basic necessities, are often the area that students give up or sacrifice to meet other needs. Additionally, your contributions allow us to expand the variety and types of food we offer to students at the pantry.
