The Asian/Pacific American Resource Center seeks to foster the holistic development of Asian, Pacific Islander, Desi American (APIDA) and Southwest Asian North African (SWANA) students by providing programming and community-building opportunities that intersects with identity development, social justice and advocacy, academic success, wellness, and celebrating the heritage of our students.
Of all of the resource centers, the student populations we serve in APARC are some of the most broad. Additional funding would allow us to provide more outreach and services to APIDA/SWANA communities that have not been traditional beneficiaries of our center. We wish to continue to improve and provide Titan Experiences for our communities through large-scale virtual events like APIDA Rising, Lunar New Year, Titan Night Market, and APIDA Heritage Month. Additional funds would allow us to recognize more graduating students without passing costs off to students in our year-end APIDA Recognition Celebration with graduation stoles mailed directly to graduates.
Donations to any of our Diversity Initiatives and Resource Centers will be matched dollar for dollar up to $4,000. Thank you to Diane Shammas for your matching gift!
