Reading and writing are arguably the most important things children learn in school. At the Hazel Miller Croy Reading Center we have been preparing literacy specialists with hands-on training while providing assistance to children in the community for over 50 years.
Our mission is to support reading and literacy development through direct instruction, building teacher capacity and supporting family literacy. We serve the diverse children of Orange County with our programs including after-school tutoring and intervention; Ready, Set, Read! camps; and workshops for teachers and parents.
Funds donated to the center will be used to support intervention programs for young readers needing specialist assistance. When you make a gift to the Hazel Miller Croy Reading Center you are helping support children, parents and teachers who are working together to help children become lifelong readers and learners.
