COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING AND COMPUTER SCIENCE
Harnessing the transformative power and potential of the engineering sciences, College of Engineering and Computer Science students receive a robust educational experience that prepares them to pursue global careers, advanced degrees or entrepreneurial endeavors. There is no better time than now to engage with the college that U.S. News & World Report ranks as the nation’s best for its online graduate programs in software engineering and environmental engineering.
Student Projects
The College of ECS has a long history of immersing our students in their education through involvement in student projects. Generations of students have grown through their work on teams such as the Titan Racing Formula, Titan Baja or Titan Rover. With significant enrollment growth and the popularity of these experiences, the College relies on support from alumni and friends to expand and deepen the project based learning experiences of our students. Help us to continue the legacy of student project experiences!
Women in Computer Science and Engineering (WiCSE)
The percentage of women receiving degrees in engineering or computer science has stayed frustratingly stagnate at 20% and 18%. In addition, women make up half of the total U.S. college-educated workforce, but only 28% of the science and engineering workforce.
The College of ECS seeks to address the lack of representation by recruiting and retaining more of our women students, providing a supportive community, and ensuring our students build connections to industry. The more students we connect to WiCSE the more we can have ensure the future workforce and Ph.D. pipelines are better balanced and exemplify equal opportunity in engineering and computer science for our youth.
