Questions and Answers

Below you will find answers to many common questions about #TitansGive 2020.

What is #TitanGive?

#TitansGive is Cal State Fullerton's first ever day of giving. It is a one-day online fundraising event on Thursday, March 12, 2020 from midnight to midnight.

We encourage all members of the Titan community to participate, including students, parents, staff, faculty, alumni, friends and community leaders. The goal is to have as many participants as possible come together to raise financial support for student success.

How do I participate in #TitansGive?

It's simple! Give online at titansgive.fullerton.edu and spread the word to family and friends. Then encourage others to make a gift of support! The more people who participate, the greater the funds raised to strengthen the programs you care about.

Encourage others to give by posting, sharing or commenting on your favorite social media platforms with the hashtag #TitansGive and. Be sure to follow Cal State Fullerton (@CSUFofficial) on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram for the latest updates, giving prizes and challenges.

Why give on March 12?

Your gift will go further and have a greater impact thanks to generous Titan supporters who have funded multiple challenges. Your gift to the campus unit or program you care about most can have a double impact. It will give a direct boost to your unit or program. All gifts made on March 12 between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. PST will count towards our day of giving, and the running total will help unlock the challenges issued throughout the day.

Where should I give?

Give to whichever fund you choose! If you aren't sure of a specific area to give, the Titan Fund provides for the highest priorities on campus. Also, you may support specific departments within schools/colleges by selecting 'Other' and typing in the program of your choice. Descriptions should be very specific to help correctly process your gift.

Can I give more than one time or to more than one project?

Yes. Donors can support any campus fund they choose, whether or not it is one of the projects featured on the day of giving website. You can visit our Cal State Fullerton Giving website at giving.fullerton.edu to learn more about all of the giving opportunities you can support on March 12.

Is my day of giving contribution tax-deductible?

The Cal State Fullerton Philanthropic Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation. Your gift qualifies for tax-deduction in accordance with IRS regulations during the calendar year that you make your gift. Consult your tax professional for more information.

Will I get a receipt for tax purposes?

Gift receipts for your financial records will be sent to you in the mail. For questions regarding your tax receipt please contact Advancement Services at 657-278-2118 or titansgive@fullerton.edu
