Beginning in 1969, Cal State Fullerton created the charitable project – Camp Titan – to improve community relations and support underprivileged kids in Orange County. Each June, Cal State Fullerton holds a summer camp in Big Bear for underprivileged Orange County children. Approximately 140 children attend the camp each year. Fifty Cal State Fullerton students volunteer their time as counselors.
CSUF student counselors train once a month for three months and for one week each summer. Counselors are responsible for eight children, making sure they brush their teeth, take naps, do their chores and are ready for the day’s activities. Your support allows students to develop leadership skills through hands-on learning experiences as well as provide the communities underprivileged youth a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
