Nurture the Next Generation of Women in STEM!
The Women in Computer Science and Engineering (WiCSE) learning community is focused on improving the retention and graduation of women in the College of Engineering and Computer Science via community-building, industry engagement, and technical and workplace skill-building programming. A student-driven and centered program with a fantastic faculty advisor, WiCSE needs your help to support and augment their current programming, which includes:
- Weekly workshops that impart skills-based learning, bring in industry speakers, and connect students to important University resources
- An industry luncheon in the fall that connects students with industry mentors via speed networking
- The Diversity and Leadership Summit, a two-day, 200+ attendee event in February which includes workshops, keynotes, and speed mentoring from industry
- A three-day summer bridge program that acclimates new and transfer students to the College of Engineering and Computer Science
- Building a community of supportive peers, who uplift, and challenge one another, leading to a 92% persistence rate
